Sanam Studios Dancers is the first and only Pakistani folk dance troupe in North America. Their repertoire covers all provinces of Pakistan and beyond: Bollywood, Middle Eastern, Afghani, Persian, Turkish Romani, and African dances. Based in Atlanta, they are a multicultural group led by choreographer and artistic director, Sanam Azeem.
Sanam Studios Dancers perform internationally at corporate galas, fundraisers, consulates, weddings, universities, festivals, and cultural events. They strive to represent the culture and history of each dance with authentic costumes and graceful movements that make each culture proud to be represented.
Their performance on social media to the famous Sindhi song, ‘Mor Tho Tillay Rana’ went viral after they performed it at a festival in Atlanta and continues to be shared and circulated on social media today. They have been featured on international channels like SAMAA TV and GeoTV; performed for diplomats worldwide; and danced alongside Pakistani artists, like Humera Channa, Ali Haider, Faakhir Mehmood, and Salman Paras.

Sanam Azeem is a skilled choreographer, instructor, and performing artist based in Atlanta, GA. Born in Karachi but raised in Brooklyn, New York; her genetic makeup spans the Near East, South Asia, and North Africa. She is the uncredited choreographer of the bhangra dance in NBC’s The Resident and has consulted for Disney’s Ms. Marvel in Urdu.
In 2013, Sanam became the first woman to be crowned Mrs. Pakistan International. After winning this title, she represented Pakistan at the Mrs. International pageant in Chicago and won Mrs. International 2013, 2nd Runner Up. She is the first South Asian woman to advance to the top five at the Mrs. International pageant.
Sanam is also an avid supporter of girls education, especially in Pakistan, where half the population is illiterate and most of which is predominately women and children. Sanam is a volunteer at heart and as a proud Atlantan, stays involved with local organizations by providing school supplies for underprivileged children and helping others in need throughout the Metro Atlanta community.
